Personal leadership
We design and facilitate a wide range of skill development activities aimed at improving individuals’ capabilities to make an effective difference in their organisations.
Irrespective of formal role or accountabilities, all individuals have the opportunity to make a highly distinctive contribution to their enterprises in a personal leadership capacity.
We aim to provide both the competence and confidence so that individuals can take full advantage of this opportunity and we deliver the learning in a number of different accessible forms.
The development of this personal leadership capability then forms a strong basis for preparing and enabling talented individuals to rapidly progress to more significant areas of formal responsibility in their organisations.
Personal leadership capabilities
These are a few of the important areas where we seek to build personal leadership capability:

Learning design
These personal leadership activities are available in the following design formats:
- Stand Alone Modules - as stand alone training modules focusing on a specific area of skill development
- Linked Curriculum - as a linked series of modules to form a logical curriculum of learning activities for a specific group of people
- Integrated Learning - as a sequence of learning events integrated with a wider organisational development programme or change initiative
- Coaching - as one to one learning activities linked to a wider personal coaching activity
Delivery
We aim to provide a highly flexible range of delivery options to ensure that our learning activities compliment the operational needs and demands of our client organisations. To this end, personal leadership activities can be delivered in the following forms:
- Skill burst - highly interactive, short burst (2/3 hour) activities aimed at providing individuals with a rapid immersion in a specific skill area. This delivery format often suits environments where release for face to face learning is limited by commercial and operational constraints. Skill Burst sessions can be organised in large groups and run in early morning, lunchtime or evening sessions for operational convenience.
- Skill building - typically a half to one day learning activity with a wider opportunity for skill practice and where a number of specific skill areas might be linked to form the core training activity
- Skill development - a longer learning activity (1 to 3 days) where there will be in an in-depth focus on a number of skill areas with a significant opportunity for case studies, practice and experiential activities.

In addition 1:1 Coaching is always offered with each delivery option to further support the transfer of learning into the workplace and enhance the individual’s personal development. For further details about the TNO’s approach to coaching please click here.
