Learning evaluation
Learning is a vital component of an organisation’s ability to continue to attract retain and develop the most talented people
In our experience, learning at both a personal, team and organisational level is most effective when it is linked to and actively seen to support the business change agenda. The effectiveness of learning is also significantly enhanced when it is integrated with wider organisational development processes.
Individuals learn with different preferences and through different experiences and as such all learning activities should reflect this diversity of preference. Whilst learning is the ultimate responsibility of each participating individual, how an organisation works with an individual to plan, coach, support and encourage their learning will effect the degree to which learning is both transferred into tangible actions and improvements in the workplace and the ultimate impact on business performance.
We are committed to ensuring that in the design and implementation of learning activities, we incorporate clear processes for ensuring that the impact of learning can be clearly evaluated over time. This includes:
- Learning Model - the application of the TNO’s own Learning Model as a means of tracking an individual’s learning progress from objectives through to applications
- Learning Outcomes - using self-assessment data and/or pivotal feedback tools we encourage the upfront establishment of clear learning outcomes and objectives against which progress can be measured
- Personal Development & Action Planning - at all stages of a learning process, individuals will be encouraged to reflect, distil, record and articulate their own specific personal development and action plans for transferring learning into tangible change in behaviour and practice in the workplace
- Coaching - we always offer follow on coaching as a result of any significant learning activity (click here for more information) as a means of assisting individuals transfer their learning into the workplace and tracking their own progress
- Review/Action Learning Sessions - we will periodically run participant review and action planning sessions to assess progress made and determine future talent development activities required.
